Created during a five day residency, this work is a reaction on 'Mouvement Perpetuel' (2010) by Esther Tielemans.

The dance-like dynamics of Tielemans' work are reminiscent of the Triadsches Ballett costumes by Oskar Schlemmer and moving shapes in early avantgarde films by the Fernand Leger, Walter Ruttmann and Hans Richter.

Derive explores sequential shapes in a animated moving choreography, paired with a soundtrack composed of field recordings.
